They include Linear Colliders (VLEPP, TESLA), B-factories (PEP-II B-factory), X-ray FELs (LCLS) and Future Circular Colliders (FCC, eRHIC).&lt;br \/&gt; Every new accelerator project needs a development of new accelerator technologies in order to challenge much higher requirements coming from thehigh energy physics theories.  It can be more energy of the accelerating particles or higher luminosity of the colliding beams or both requirements for the future colliders.  A high current beam must also have very small emittance.  All possible instabilities must be damped.  And the history of the accelerator projects shows a great progress.  New methods for dampinginstabilities, new colliding schemes and new accelerator elements.  Now the beams can be accelerating at higher gradients, can have high current and extremely small emittance.  The bunches can have extremely small length. Great progress with the beam diagnostic leads to much stable operation ofthe machines.&lt;br \/&gt; Electromagnetic interaction of the high current beam with the accelerator environment becomes very important. Without the need of traditional collars, such coils are radially compact and do not need collar presses or other special assembly tooling and can naturally accommodate multiple coil multipolarities in a common coil package. The HERA-II, BEPC-II, ILC R&amp;D Interaction Region (IR) magnets, multiple generations of ALPHA anti-hydrogen traps, a BNL biomedical insert magnet, JPARC external beamline correctors and SuperKEKB correctors magnets all used Direct Wind. Presently we are developing Direct Wind NbTi active shield coils for a high-gradient Nb3Sn R&amp;D quadrupole and a constant gradient tapered coil quadrupole for an Electron Ion Collider at BNL and are presently considering possible Direct Wind coil applications relevant to both the future Crab Waist sextupoles and the dipole replacement spin rotators for SuperKEKB. The first was a feedback that optimized the beam overlap at the IP of PEP-2. Changes in luminosity were tracked as the positron beam in the low-energy ring was shifted by small amounts relative to the electrons in the high-energy ring. The previous feedback used corrector magnets to move x, y, and y\u2032 sequentially. The settling time of the correctors and the sequential pattern slowed this \u201cdither\u201d feedback. We developed a faster approach in which the beams were dithered in all three directions simultaneously and sinusoidally, but with a different frequency for each plane. A lock-in amplifier at each frequency detected the effect on luminosity and determined periodic adjustments made with correctors. This method is being applied to SuperKEKB.&lt;br \/&gt;After PEP-2 closed in 2008, SLAC focused on the LCLS x-ray free-electron laser, which used the third km of the copper linac. The first km is now being replaced with a superconducting 4-GeV linac driven by continuous 1.3-GHz RF. Electron bunches will be delivered at rates of up to 1 MHz, with a beam power of 120 kW. An upgrade to 8 GeV is planned, with correspondingly higher power. Careful attention must be paid to beam loss, to protect people outside the tunnel and to prevent damage to the machine. SLAC\u2019s customary detectors are ionization chambers, but with high losses, the slow ion transit can lead to space-charge pile-up and nonlinearity. First commissioned in 1959, it surpassed its original design intensity by orders of magnitude. Besides being the link between PS Booster and the Super Proton Synchrotron (SPS) in the injector chain of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), it supplies several experimental facilities: two fixed target xperimental zones, the so-called EAST areaand the nTOF facility.&lt;br \/&gt;The PS also provides the primary protons for the beam in the antiproton decelerator (AD). Most destinations require dedicated longitudinal beam parameters, from coasting beam to short bunches with 25 ns spacing.&lt;br \/&gt;Evolved RF manipulations are performed using a multitude of RF systems in the frequency range from 400 kHz to 200 MHz. With the LHC Injector Upgrade (LIU) Project, a major improvement programme prepares the PS for its future role as a pre-injector of the High-Luminosity LHC (HL-LHC).&lt;br \/&gt;The presentation will summarize the features of this synchrotron at the heart of the complex at CERN.&lt;\/p&gt;\n&lt;p&gt;2. The steps taken to commission the Recycler and run at 700 kW operationally while keeping losses under control will be discussed.&lt;br \/&gt;Looking towards PIP-II, the Recycler and Main Injector will be required to stack and accelerate 50% more beam in order to deliver 1.2 MW beam power for LBNF\/DUNE. This intensity increase poses serious challenges of which some will be discussed, such as space charge tune shifts during slip-stacking, transition crossing in the Main Injector and instabilities caused by electron cloud. Inspired by this success, we propose another permanent magnet var-iably polarizing APPLE-Leaf undulator for generating low-on axis power density in every polarization mode. The structure of this new undulator consists of four magnet rows as that of conventional APPLE undulator.  The difference from the conventional APPLE device is that the APPLE-Leaf undulator has longitudinal motion mechanism to change the period length in each magnet row instead of having paral-lel or antiparallel phase motion of diagonal magnet rows &amp;#091;5&amp;#093;. In addition, to accommodate this device to the fourth generation light sources such as a low emittance MBA lattice storage ring, an APPLE X &amp;#091;3&amp;#093; type or APPLE III &amp;#091;4&amp;#093; configuration may be used for the best performance. In the presentation, magnetic structures, gap and phase motion mechanisms, and advantage\/disadvantage of these new devices will be discussed. For X- and gamma-ray detection, we have developed large-size NaI:Tl, pure CsI (for Mu2e project) and CsI:Tl single crystals, and also the cutting-edge scintillators such as CsI:Tl,Yb, LaBr3:Ce, SrI2:Eu,Zr, and zero-dimensional A4BX6 perovskite single crystals. I was hired as a team leader to test SRF cavities for a project called Accelerator Production of Tritium (APT). Unfortunately, this project stopped in a year or so, then I became a project leader to dismantle an accelerator named Low Energy Demonstration Accelerator (LEDA), a ~100 mA CW ~7 MeV RFQ to accelerate protons. After that, I became a team leader of the vacuum systems team that is in charge of the Los Alamos Neutron Science Center (LANSCE) accelerator (800MeV H+\/- accelerator) vacuum systems in 2005. In my talk, I will show the LANSCE vacuum system and what we have done to improve vacuum system of this ~50-year-old accelerator. Also, I have been always interested in the SRF cavity research in my enter career including my work at KEK (1985-2000). Especially, I was very interested in a superconductor MgB2 that was discovered in Japan in 2001 and has a very high Tc of ~40 K as one of possible materials for SRF cavities. These increased currents may excite intra-bunch transverse instabilities via TMCI and Ecloud mechanisms in the SPS (penultimate injector) and the HL-LHC . There are several possible options to mitigate these instabilities, including machine optics and RF configurations, the Ecloud mechanisms can be addressed via special attention to vacuum surface treatments to  reduce photoelectron yield. An interesting option is to use very wideband transverse feedback to add damping within a 1.8 ns long bunch. The feedback can address both TMCI and Ecloud mechanisms, but is technically very challenging due to the required bandwidth. A wideband feedback demonstration system has been operated at the SPS to explore this technology, it implements a 1 GHz closed loop bandwidth with a digital sampling rate of 4 GHz. Recent results of beam tests, with highlights of the signal processing and kicker technologies, are presented.
